DAY 1: MEDAN
After landing in Medan, enjoy a private transfer to our carefully selected international hotel. That evening, join the expedition crew for dinner as we prepare for the journey ahead and walk through the experiences to come.
DAY 2: KUTACANE
This morning, we take a short flight to Gayo Lues, a remote mountain town in Aceh Province, before continuing on to Kutacane to prepare for our rainforest expedition.
DAY 3 - 4: INTO THE JUNGLE
A two-day rainforest trek brings us face to face with Sumatran orangutans and other wildlife, as we search for signs of the island’s endangered tiger.
DAY 5: LAKE TOBA
Lake Toba occupies the crater of an ancient supervolcano, its immense circular waters surrounding Samosir Island at the center.
DAY 6: LAKE CRUISE AND COFFEE
Explore Lake Toba by kayak or private boat, visiting highland coffee plantations known for their exceptional Arabica. That evening, we fly onward to Padang.
DAY 7: CONSERVATION & LOCAL LIFE
The village of Lempur is going to be our next destination. We'll meet the crew of a local NGO working on a conservation project trying to preserve the population of Sumatran tigers. We'll also visit the largest tea plantation in the world and get a glimpse into the life of local people.
DAY 8-9: SUMMITING MOUNT KERINCI
As the highest peak in the Indonesian archipelago, this mountain marks a powerful finale to our journey. Over two unforgettable days, we’ll ascend to the summit, spend the night at a high-altitude campsite, and greet the sunrise from the roof of Indonesia, standing higher than anywhere else in the country.
DAY 10: BACK TO PADANG
Soon after finishing our trek, a private transfer is going to take us direclty to Padang. There, we'll conclude our adventure. You may take an international flight directly to Kuala Lumpur or other major cities.
